MC Business Meeting and Scientific Meeting

  • New! Booklet with detailed information is now available (final schedule, abstracts, practical information, list of participant).
  • Hotel expenses. There was a mistake in a previous version of the booklet: hotel nights are not pre-paid, each participant has to pay them directly to the hotel, and claim reimbursement via the official COST refund system. We apologize for the inconvenience.

General description

The goal of this meeting is to help partners knowing what each other is doing, and to organize future activities.

The three-days meeting will include

  1. Business meeting (Nov 7), reserved to the MC members.
  2. Scientific meeting (Nov 8), open to all members of this COST action.
  3. Workgroups meetings (Nov 9), open to all members of the COST action who intend to be active in the activities of the defined workgroups

Most of the time will be dedicated to mutual presentations of our research and development activities.

Each partner is invited to send a short abstract (1 page max) describing their research / development activities and the way they could contribute to the goals of the SEQAHEAD project. All abstracts will be welcome for poster presentations, and a series of abstracts will be selected for short presentation (10 minutes per talk + 5 minutes).

Business meeting (Nov 7)

  • Goal: discuss how to achieve the goal of the COST work plan (funding, organization of the activities, reporting, …)
  • Audience: the business meeting day is reserved to MC members.
  • Agenda:the agenda of the business meeting will be published soon …

Scientific meeting (Nov 8)

  • Audience: The scientific meeting is open to all members of the COST action. This meeting is the first one and we don't have much space to offer → it is primarily addressed to members of the COST actions rather than external people.
  • Goal of the scientific meeting: to help partners knowing what each other is doing. Most of the time will be dedicated to mutual presentations of our research and development activities.
  • Talk content: each talk will present the bioinformatics tools, databases or research results developed by a group that are relevant for the action.
  • Timing: in order to let speak as many members as possible, each talk will be restricted to 10' presentation + 5' questions. Additional time is scheduled for general discussion.
  • Abstract: Each partner is invited to send a short abstract (1 page max) describing its research / development activities and the way they could contribute to the goals of the SEQAHEAD project. All abstracts will be welcome for poster presentations, and a series of abstracts will be selected for short presentation (10 minutes per talk + 5 minutes).
  • Abstracts should be sent to Myriam Loubriat (please format your abstract using the Abstract template).

Workgroups meetings (Nov 9)

  • Audience: The workgroup meetings are open to any member of the COST action who intends to be active in the activities of the defined workgroups.
  • Agenda: the agenda will be provided by the workgroup leaders.
